Phuket plans to temporarily move the Heroine Monument

Phuket –

Phuket plans to temporarily move the Heroine Monument following road and area renovation projects.

A meeting was held this morning about the issue (October 12th). The province plans to renovate the Thep Kasattri Road and renovate Tha Rue Intersection near the Heroine Monument. The plan is to build an underpass on Road No. 402 and Road No. 4027 (Tha Rue Intersection) to solve traffic problems. The monument has to be temporarily moved until the project finishes before being moved back.

The province plans to move the monument to the Thalang National Museum while the Heroine ancestors and locals want to move the monument to the Phra Nang Sang Temple. However, the finally decision will be concluded in the near future.
