Suspect tries to assault police officers with a knife before being arrested with crystal methamphetamine and pills in Phuket

Phuket –

A suspect who was reportedly trying to assault law enforcement officers was arrested with crystal methamphetamine and pills in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

Mr. Akkara Suwatikun, the Phuket Provincial Defense Director, told the Phuket Express, “Over the past weekend we have arrested Mr. Pichai, known by his alias as ‘Mook’, in Rawai. Seized from him were 1.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 22 methamphetamine pills, and two knives.”

“Pichai took out a knife when officers attempted to arrest him. He tried to attack officers and then made an attempt to flee but failed,” Mr. Akkara explained.

“The arrest came after we received an anonymous tip-off that Pichai was selling drugs in the local area. He is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 Drugs, carrying weapons in public without a reason, and resisting arrest,” Mr. Akkara noted.
