Phuket-

An intoxicated man has been rescued after he was walking on Sarasin Bridge before accidentally falling down into the sea in Thalang.

Rescue workers were notified of the incident at 2:35 A.M. early this morning (October 10th) at Sarasin Bridge in the Maikhao sub-district.

The rescue staff arrived at the scene to find several locals who were fishing nearby. They told rescue workers that the man was walking on the bridge rail before accidently falling down. They threw a rubber ring to him in the water before they called rescue workers.

One hour later, the man was found safe on the land near the bridge holding the rubber ring. The man allegedly admitted that he used illegal drugs before going for a walk on the bridge rail.

Rescue workers did not identify the man and it was unclear if he would face any charges for the alleged illegal drug use.
