Four people arrested in Wichit allegedly involved in online investment scam

Phuket –

Four suspects have been arrested in Wichit who were allegedly involved in an online investment scam.

A press conference was held at the Region 8 Police Station base in Phuket today (September 27th) led by the Region 8 Police Commander Lieutenant General Amphon Buarabphon.

Lieutenant General Amphon told the Phuket Express, “Eight arrest warrants have been issued and four suspects so far were arrested in the Wichit sub-district, Mueang Phuket district. The cost of damage is 1,258,630 Baht from online investment scams.”

“Anyone who gives notice of any call canter scammers or online investment scammers please report to us at www.thaipoliceonline.com or any police station, or PCT Police www.pctpolice.go.th or 1441, 081-8663000.” Amphon concluded.

The names of the suspects and exact details of the alleged scam were not given at the press conference.
