Suspect arrested after stealing mobile phones left in motorbikes five times in Wichit – VIDEO

A suspect has been arrested after he stole mobile phones left in motorbikes at least five times in Wichit.

The Wichit Police told the Phuket Express they have arrested a man identified only as Mr. Chai, 49, from Nakhon Si Thammarat. Chai is facing charges of theft. Seized from him were two stolen mobile phones. He was arrested near the Chao Fah Tawan Ok Road in the Wichit sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

Chai admitted to police that he stole mobile phones that were placed in storage compartments in front of various motorbikes when the owner went to buy food or run a quick errand. He then sold those stolen mobile phones.

Chai remains in custody as of press time.
