UPDATE: Investigation launched over school director allegedly assaulting 8-year-old student in Phuket

The Phuket City Police reports that a 54-year-old grandmother has filed a report yesterday (September 9th). Her name was withheld to help protect the child’s privacy.

Update story:

The Phuket Provincial Police Commander Major General Sermphan Sirikong has ordered a transparency investigation over the accusation.

Lieutenant Colonel Suchart Meelampong of the Phuket City Police reports that the boy’s mother, only identified as Ms. Ya, 30, told police that her son was with his younger sister during the incident in the school director’s room.

Yesterday, (September 9th), Ya saw her son’s head was swollen before she asked her son and her daughter what had occurred.

The boy was later taken to a hospital for a health check in which the result is to be included into the investigation for further potential legal action.
