Fire guts townhouse in Rawai

Rawai –

A fire engulfed a townhouse in Rawai after midnight today (September 7th) alarming nearby residents.

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 0:29 A.M. in the Patak Villa housing estate in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

They arrived at the scene with four fire engines to find the two-storey townhouse was heavily ablaze. It took half an hour to control the fire. No injuries were reported. The townhouse is opened as a company selling hotel supplies.

It is believed that the fire started from an electric short circuit. However the Phuket Forensic Police is investigating to find the exact cause of the fire.
