Pickup truck crashes into power pole in Koh Kaew causing blackout for many hours

Electricity had a blackout for two hours in many areas after a pickup truck crashed into a high voltage power pole in Koh Kaew, Mueang Phuket.

The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority report after midnight (September 3rd) they were notified that a high voltage power pole on the main Thep Kasattri Road in Bang Koo, Koh Kaew was broken.

They arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck near the broken power pole. The electricity was shut off for two hours from 0:30 A.M. to 2:30 A.M. in the nearby area while staffers were fixing the power pole. A male driver had been reported with minor injuries.
