Phuket City fights against mosquito illnesses like dengue fever

Phuket City is fighting back against mosquito carried illnesses including dengue fever.

This week the Public Health and Environmental Division of the Phuket City Municipality rolled out its campaign to contain the spread of dengue fever.

Fogging to help prevent disease-bearing mosquitoes from breeding has been conducted across Phuket City. Widespread fogging was carried at housing estates and communities in the area.

Dengue fever has been a significant health risk throughout Thailand and this year has been a particularly dangerous one, according to Phuket City Health and Environmental Division officials.
