Female foreigner alarms Kamala locals after going into sea at night

Kamala –

A female foreigner went into the sea at Kamala Beach last night (August 24th) while her pet dog was waiting on the beach. Locals called for help before she came up from the water, thinking she was drowning.

Kamala rescue workers were notified from locals at 7:30 P.M. that a female foreigner in a two piece swimsuit left her belongings at a shop on the beach. She went into the sea and was playing in the water with her pet dog.

Fifteen minutes later the dog was seen alone on the beach without her. Locals called for help to search for her along the beach as they were afraid that she might have drowned.

After that, however, the foreign woman came up from the sea alone with no issue. She apologized that she made others worried about her as she had gone out to swim some distance from shore, but said she was an experienced swimmer.

The foreign woman, whose name was withheld by rescue workers, pledged not to go swimming at night again and alarm locals.
