Prominant politician visits entertainment venues on Bangla Road with suggestion to open untill 6:00 A.M.

Patong –

A prominent politician visited entertainment venues on Bangla Road with a suggestion to open until 6:00 A.M..

Thai Civilized Party leader Mongkolkit Suksintharanon and his team visited the Bangla Road in Patong yesterday (August 22nd).

Mr. Mongkolkit told The Phuket Express, “Entertainment venues must be ready to prevent any fire. Fire prevention system must be checked every three months. Phuket is a special economic city. There were 15 million visitors per year or 1.2 million visitors per month before Covid-19. After Covid-19 restrictions were lifted there are now about 40,000 visitors per day.”

“In my opinion entertainment venues should be opened until 6:00 A.M. as most of the tourists are foreigners. The extended hours should not affect other parts of the island as well. This hours extension is to recover during the Covid -19 crisis which will help entertainment business operators.”
