Fire guts car in Soi Ta-iad, Chalong

Chalong –

A fire damaged a parked car in Soi Ta-iad in Chalong yesterday (August 20th).

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 6:00 P.M. in Soi Ta-iad which is a famous boxing gym area with many foreigners. They arrived at the scene to find the sedan heavily ablaze. It took about 20 minutes to put out the fire. The front part of the car was damaged. No one was found inside the car as well as the car owner.

Poice later found out that the car owner is from Krabi but now stays in Thalang. The car had broken down in Soi-Ta-iad before the owner went back to their accommodation while waiting for the car to be fixed on Monday.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
