Krabi-

A boat captain has gone missing after he fell into the sea while driving a boat with tourists in Krabi.

Yesterday (August 19th) the Krabi Marine Police was notified that the boat captain had gone missing between Yaman Island and Rok Island. Marine Police and rescue divers went out for a search for four hours but failed before nightfall.

Lieutenant Colonal Taweelarp Suwannarit of the Krabi Marine Police told The Phuket Express, “Mr. Apichart Boonrat, 27, the long tail boat captain with 14 tourists and one guide, was travelling near Po Da Island in Ao Nang yesterday.”

“The boat captain had gone missing while he was in the back driving the boat. The guide called for help. At this stage, we believed that the captain might have fainted and fell off the boat. The search has continued again today (August 20th).” The Lt. Col. concluded.

As of press time, the boat captain was still missing.
