Chalong –
One person died while another has sustained serious injuries after a pickup truck crash in the Chalong area.
Raumjai Rescue Foundation reports they were notified of the accident this morning (August 17th) in Soi Na Chai, Chalong sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.
They arrived at the scene to find a damaged pickup truck crashed into a power pole. One person was pronounced dead at the scene while another has sustained serious injuries. The injured party, an unidentified woman, was taken to a local hospital.
At this stage, rescue workers believe that the driver had lost control of their vehicle before crashing into the power pole. However the exact cause of the accident is still being identified by Chalong police.
