Pickup truck damaged in Phuket act of arson – VIDEO

A pickup truck was damaged by an early morning fire in Rassada, Mueang Phuket.

The Phuket City Police reports they were notified of the incident from Mr. Burassakorn Yooyen, 31. He told police yesterday (August 15th) at 4:00 A.M. he was inside his house on Rassada Nusorn Road in the Rassada sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

His neighbor shouted to tell him that his pickup truck which was parked in front of the house had caught on fire. He used water to put out the fire while waiting for firefighters. The fire was finally brought under control.

CCTV footage in front of his house shows at 3:55 A.M. there was an unidentified man who was wearing a full motorcycle helmet pouring some gasoline onto the pickup truck before he set the fire and sped away.

Police said they are hunting for the suspect for further legal action. The victim did not comment on if he had any issues with anyone locally or what he thought could have led to the act of arson.
