Fire guts room at hotel in Rawai

A fire damaged a room at a hotel in Rawai overnight this past weekend.

Rawai firefighters were notified of the fire at 7:02 A.M. on Saturday (August 13th) at the Vijitt Resort Phuket on Wiset Road in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang Phuket.

They arrived at the room to find lots of smoke. Firefighters quickly put out the fire. The room was damaged but no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
