Officials continue checking entertainment venues in Patong to ensure fire safety

Last night (August 9th) officials inspected entertainment venues on Bangla Road in Patong to ensure fire safety.

A team of Kathu officials and Patong Police inspected entertainment venues on Bangla Road. They checked fire safety measures such as fire extinguishers, fire exits, signs, and fire prevention systems inside venues.

Officials urged entertainment operators to make sure that these safety measures have to be checked and must ready to use.

The inspection follows Thai Prime Minister Prayut on, August 5th, ordering a serious investigation into the fire at the “Mountain B” entertainment venue in the Sattahip area of Chonburi in the early hours of yesterday, reportedly now killing 16 and injuring 34 people so far.
