Phuket beach cleaning held to honor Queen Sirikit’s 90th birthday

Mass beach cleaning was held this morning to honor Queen Sirikit’s 90th birthday on August 12th.

The cleaning at Naiyang beach this morning (August 9th) was held by the Phuket International Airport.

Mr. Somsak Pakdeerak, the director of the airport administration office, told The Phuket Express, “The beach cleaning this time is to honor Queen Sirikit’s 90th birthday on this upcoming August 12th.”

“The airport area is connected with Naiyang beach and Maikhao beach in which both beaches are in the area of the Sirinat National Park in Thalang.”

“Sea garbage has been washed upon to the beach during the monsoon season. The cleaning is aimed to keep our community clean to welcome more tourists. It is everyone’s responsibility to take care of our environment together.” Somsak concluded.
