Officials inspect entertainment venues in Patong to ensure fire safety

Patong, Phuket –

Last night (August 5th) officials inspected entertainment venues on Bangla Road in Patong to ensure fire safety.

A team of Kathu officials inspected entertainment venues on Bangla Road. They checked fire safety such as fire extinguishers, fire exits, signs, and fire prevention systems inside venues.

Entertainment venue operators have cooperated with officials to show that they have fire safety. Most entertainment venues had all required fire safety measures but some of them have to change and improve their safety equipment and fire exit signs.

The inspection follows Thai Prime Minister Prayut yesterday, August 5th, ordering a serious investigation into the fire at the “Mountain B” entertainment venue in the Sattahip area of Chonburi in the early hours of yesterday, reportedly now killing 14 and injuring 34 people so far.
