3.3 million foreigners traveled to Thailand since January 2022, Tourism Authority of Thailand reports

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reveals that a total of 3.3 million foreign tourists have traveled to Thailand between January and July 2022.

The top five countries of arrival tourists are 1.) Malaysia, 4.2 hundred thousand; 2.) India, 3.37 hundred thousand; 3.) Singapore, 1.83 hundred thousand; 4.) The United Kingdom, 1.67 hundred thousand, and; 5.) Laos, 1.57 hundred thousand, TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn told the Associated Press on Thursday, August 4th.

In the past seven months, most tourists were recorded traveling through the Suvarnabhumi International Airport, accountable for 1.92 million people, followed by Phuket International Airport with 6.03 hundred thousand people, and Don Mueang International Airport with 1.9 hundred thousand people.

In July, the number of foreign tourists reached 1 million for the first time since the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Yuthasak added. The TAT estimated that a total of 10 million tourists would arrive in Thailand by the end of 2022.
