Rawai, Mueang Phuket –
The Rawai Municipality has announced a tsunami evacuation drill will be held this afternoon, July 20th.
The drill came after the Phuket Governor has ordered relevant officials to stay updated and keep a close eye on oceanic earthquake situations.
The drill is aimed to prepare for any disaster to prevent loss of life and damages as well as to ensure safety for residents and tourists.
The evacuation route will be from in the area of Yabui Beach – Phrom Thep Cape and Rawai Islamic Graveyard – Friendship Beach.
The drill will start from 1:00 P.M. on ward. The Rawai Municipality says the evacuation drill will include warning practices, evacuation drills, and shelter management.
Meanwhile the Karon , the Phuket City Municipality and Wichit will also hold tsunami evacuation drills this afternoon too.
