Bus, public van, and taxi drivers at Phuket Airport randomly checked with urine drug tests

Phuket –

Drivers at the Phuket International Airport have been randomly checked for urine drug testing in a campaign which is being called ‘White Airport’.

The campaign was held today (July 18th) and led by the Director of the Phuket International Airport Mr. Monchai Tanod. Joining him were the Phuket Tourist Police, the Tha Chatchai Police, and the Phuket Land Transport Office (PLTO).

Mr. Monchai told the Phuket Express, “The campaign is to ensure safety for tourists who use taxi and bus services at the Phuket International Airport where the number of tourists have now been increased.”

“Drivers have been randomly checked for urine drug testing. Drivers who have not tested positive for drugs received a sticker shaped like a star labeled ‘White Airport’ with their car number and name.” Monchai concluded.
