Many areas in Phuket were seen flooded this morning, July 16th, due to constant heavy rain last night.
According to local reports, the flood occurred in several areas in the Mueng district, particularly at the parking lot of Phuket Radio Thailand and the entrance of Phuket Rajabhat University. Houses were reportedly damaged and house fences were also swept away by the flood.
Mueng district chief Suwit Suriyawong and the village chief began an area inspection this morning and coordinated with the sub-district municipality to assess the damages and provide urgent assistance to local residents.
