Regional Army commander and six others injured after helicopter emergency crash lands in Songkhla

Songkhla –

Fourth Army Region Commander Lieutenant General Kriangkrai Srirak and six other people were injured after an army helicopter emergency crash landed in a rubber plantation in the Thepa district in Songkhla this morning (July 15th).

The helicopter engine appeared to have problems which made the pilot make an emergency landing and crashing in the rubber plantation.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find seven injured people including the fourth Army Region Commander Lieutenant General Kriangkrai Srirak. One of them was trapped inside. They were all taken to army hospitals.

Deputy Commander of the Fourth Army Region Major General Pramote Promin said to the press, “The helicopter departed from Hatyai in Songkhla heading to Pattani for their regular duty. Lieutenant General Kriangkrai was cognizant when emergency responders arrived. He has sustained some injuries. His health is being fully checked.”
