Phuket City officials say they have solved three repetitious flood areas

Phuket –

The Phuket City Municipality has, according to them, solved three repetitious flood areas in Phuket City.

The Phuket City Mayor Mr. Saroj Angkanapilart told the Phuket Express, “The three main flood areas in Phuket City were at the Srisutas – Amphur intersection heading to Koh Sirey, the Samkong area and Sakdidet. The Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew sees massive importance in solving repetitious flooding problems. Now there is no flooding in these areas recently after heavy rain and the problems have been solved.”

“We have removed garbage from water drainages and increased the number of drains. We will have another project to solve long-term flooding soon. For other flooding areas we also check water drainages to make sure there is no garbage amassed and always cleanup problem areas,” Mr. Saroj added.
