Surat Thani bans all boats from leaving piers including ferries through tomorrow morning

Surat Thani –

The Surat Thani Governor has ordered to ban all boats including ferries from leaving piers from this afternoon (July 11th) until tomorrow (July 12th) morning.

The announcement has been issued by the Surat Thani Governor Mr. Witchawut Chinto today (July 11th) stating that the order is due to heavy rain and strong wind and waves that have been affecting the Surat Thani area.

“All boats including ferries will be banned from leaving piers in every district that is connected with the Gulf of Thailand from today (July 11th) at 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. tomorrow (July 12th) in the routes below:

1) From Mueang Surat Thani district to Koh Samui district to Koh Phangan district to Koh Tao (leaving-back)
2) From Don Sak district to Koh Samui district to Koh Phangan district to Koh Tao leaving –back)
3) From Koh Samui district to Koh Phangan district to Koh Tao to Chumphon province (leaving – back).
