Main road near Mai Khao Beach in Phuket temporarily closed due to high tide yesterday, now returned to normal

Phuket –

A main road along a beach in Mai Khao in Phuket was temporarily closed due to high tide yesterday (July 4th). Today, (July 5th), the road is back to normal traffic.

Our previous stories:

Strong waves washed up seawater onto a beach road north of Phuket causing traffic delays yesterday afternoon (July 3rd).

Last night, July 3rd, the Phuket Governor inspected the Thep Kasattri Road (No 402) north bound near the Sai Kaew Beach in Mai Khao.

The sea water tide had risen again at noon yesterday. The Tha Chatchai Police (July 4th) reported they temporarily closed the beach road north bound before the well-known Sarasin Bridge heading off of Phuket to Phang Nga.

Motorists were required to use the Thep Kasattri Road South bound lane instead. However, the Tha Chatchai Police reported today (July 5th) that the road is back to normal traffic.
