Strong waves wash up sea water onto road in Phuket – VIDEO

Phuket –

Strong waves washed up seawater onto a beach road north of Phuket causing traffic delays yesterday afternoon (July 3rd).

High waves and a strong current have washed up seawater and garbage onto the main road northbound along Sai Kaew Beach in the Mai Khao sub-district, Thalang district.

Food stalls and vendors near the beach were mostly evacuated before the storm and waves but some have been damaged.

Vehicles that were heading north leaving Phuket were stuck on the road with multiple traffic delays. Traffic Police assisted on the road while the water slowly decreased.
