Koh Phangan in Surat Thani, in the South of Thailand, has been named as the world’s number one destination for a so-called “Workation”, according to a major website.
Government Spokesman Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonchana told the associated Thai media, “The Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is satisfied that Koh Phangan has hit the number one world’s best destination for a ‘Workation’. The ranking was arranged by the website of ‘William Russell’ which is a business that handles life insurance and health plans.”
“The survey from 160 countries around the world said Koh Phangan in Surat Thani is the world’s best destination for a ‘Workation’ which combines working and traveling,” Mr. Thanakorn added.
“The survey was considered from four factors which were “monthly expenses, internet speed, safety, and enjoyment. Koh Phangan has an environment that is suitable for long-term stays and also has the world-famous Full Moon Party,” Mr. Thanakorn explained.
“Andaman Tourism will also be pushed into the top of ‘World Class Wellness Destinations’ to boost the economy for the country following the removal of Thailand pass after July 1st,” Mr. Thanakorn noted.
