Tourists interested in ‘Arts on Kata Beach’, a first time event for Phuket

Phuket –

Tourists are reportedly interested in the ‘Arts on Kata Beach’ event which is the first arts festival on the beach in Phuket.

The festival took place on Kata Beach yesterday (June 29th). Mr, Songwut ‘O’ Sangfai told The Phuket Express, “I have been drawing on beaches for about three years, starting when beaches were mostly empty due to the Covid19 pandemic and lack of tourists as well as something to pass the time. My drawings are normally on large, empty areas on beaches. It is more difficult than drawing in a small area.”

“I usually draw on beaches in Phang Nga. Most of my drawings are Geometric, Kinetic, and a mixture of Thai styles. There are not many artists drawing on beaches like this in Thailand. I think this is different.” Mr. O stated.

“For Phuket, I chose Kata Beach as it is about three kilometers long. Arts on the beach are very beautiful. At the same time we do not destroy the beach. Many Thai and foreign beachgoers were interested in my arts yesterday. This is another way to support tourism for people who love arts and beaches.”
