Phuket governor asks the public to be good host as a candidate for Expo 2028

  The Phuket Governor has asked people in Phuket to be a good host as Phuket is being considered as a candidate for Expo 2028.

The Phuket Governor, while visiting Paris, France, is set to suggest ideas for Phuket as a candidate to be the host of the Specialised Expo 2028-Phuket Thailand.

The Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew told the press yesterday (June 27^th), “The presentation at Paris this month to be considered as a candidate for the expo went well. Next month the BIE (Bureau of International Des Expositions) committee will come to Phuket to see if Phuket is ready to host the event. Phuket people will welcome them and should be a good host to the BIE who will be touring across the island.

“We will do our best to show them that we are ready to be host Expo 2028. However, the result of the vote for which country will be the host will be announced in March of next year, 2023.” Governor Narong Concluded.
