Phuket suggesting to host “Thailand Biennale City of Arts” event

Phuket is suggesting to host a proposed Thailand Biennale the City of Arts event.

A meeting was held yesterday (June 23rd) at Phuket City Hall and was led by the Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew and the President of the Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation (PPAO) Rewat Areerob.

Phuket Governor Narong said at the meeting, “City of Arts is a city that has an environment suitable to grow various cultural and traditional activities.”

“Phuket is one of the world’s cities that has plentiful culture and stability of cultural resources. We aim to improve our communities and to boost the economy from tourism,” Governor Narong explained.

“This will need cooperation from local communities, national, international sectors, government, and private sectors for long term communities and economic benefits. We will suggest to host the Thailand Biennale, City of Arts.” Governor Narong noted.
