Phuket officials inspected entertainment venues in Phuket Town last night (June 13th) after they have been legally allowed to open until midnight.
The inspection at 11 entertainment venues in Phuket Town from 8:30 P.M. to 10:00 P.M was led by Mueang Phuket Administrative Chief Officers Mrs. Chongmas Sakunpradit and Mr. Danai Jaikeng, and the Phuket City Police.
The Phuket Governor on May 31st, 2022 released new Covid-19 related orders officially allowing entertainment venues to open until midnight from June 1st, 2022.
The Mueang Phuket District Chief Mr. Suwit Suriyawong told the Phuket Express, “The inspection was to ensure that entertainment venues have followed the public health measurements and entertainment venue rules. These include various Covid-19 related measurements.”
“Most of them have followed public health measurements and other entertainment venue rules,” Mr. Suwit added.
Inspections on entertainment venues have continued regularly notes TPN media as officials have been skittish about reopening entertainment venues for roughly a year, concerned they could cause more Covid outbreaks. In reality, that was not the case as seen by recent Covid-19 statistics, as numbers have actually continued to fall.
