Phuket officials inspect karaoke venues in Thalang for Covid-19 protocols

Thalang, Phuket –

Phuket officials inspected karaoke venues in the Thalang district last night (June 9th) after they have been legally allowed to open until midnight.

The inspection at 10:00 P.M at seven karaoke venues in Thalang district was led by the Thalang Administrative Chief Officer Mr. Panjapong Boonjan and other volunteers.

The Phuket Governor on May 31st, 2022 released new Covid-19 related orders officially allowing entertainment venues to open until midnight from June 1st, 2022.

Mr. Panjapong told the Phuket Express, “The inspection was to ensure that these karaoke venues have followed the governor’s orders and public health measurements.”

“ For example, all staffers must receive at least two doses of Covid-19 vaccines, entertainment operators must check if their customers were vaccinated, no illegal drugs use, no human trafficking, no illegal migrant workers, and alcohol is only allowed to be sold until midnight,” Mr. Panjapong explained.

“However, the overall compliance is good. Most of them have followed public health measurements,” Mr. Panjapong added.
