Phuket hosts 58th ISU (International Skating Union) Congress

  The 58th ISU (International Skating Union) Congress is being held in Phuket from June 5th to June 11th, 2022.

The event was launched yesterday (June 5th) and led by the Minister of Thailand  Tourism and Sports Mr.Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, and the president of the International Skating Union Mr. Jan Dijkema.

Mr.Phiphat said, “The 58th ISU Congress is being held from June 5th to June 11th, 2022 at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa. Participants from more than 70 countries around the world are joining the congress under the concept ‘Green Meeting’ which is concerned more with long-term environmental conservation. The ISU is holding the event to select new executive managers and teams.”

“This is also a good opportunity to promote Phuket and Thailand tourism to others in the world. This time we are presenting signatures of Phuket and Thailand which are ancient traditions and cultures, and beautiful nature. Participants in the congress have also visited ‘Phuket Old Town’ and other natural tourism places,” Mr.Phiphat explained.
