Phuket –
Phuket officials inspected entertainment venues in Phuket Town last night (June 2nd) after they have been legally allowed to open until midnight.
The inspection at a famous center of entertainment venues in Phuket Town around the Nimit Circle (well known as Seahorse Circle) was led by the Phuket Vice Governor Pichet Panaphong, the Phuket Provincial Public Health Deputy Chief Doctor Mueanprae Boonlom, and the Phuket City Police.
The Phuket Governor on May 31st, 2022 released new Covid-19 related orders officially allowing entertainment venues to open until midnight from June 1st, 2022.
Vice Governor Pichet told the Phuket Express, “The inspection was to ensure that entertainment venues have followed the public health measurements. For example, all staffers must receive at least two doses of Covid-19 vaccines and entertainment operators must check if their customers were vaccinated.”
“However the overall compliance is good. Most of them have followed public health measurements,”Vice Governor Pichet added.
Meanwhile Bangla Road in Patong once again was full of tourists, according to Patong officials, as entertainment venues were legally opened from June 1st after being closed since April of 2021 and turned into converted restaurants previously.
