Phuket Governor releases order allowing entertainment venues to open, with conditions

Phuket, Thailand-

  The Phuket Governor last night (May 31st), 2022 released new Covid-19 related orders officially allowing entertainment venues to open until midnight from today (June 1st).

-Bars, karaoke, pubs, nightclubs, gogos, soapies, etc can open effective June 1st, but must meet the following criteria:

  1. Can open with alcohol sales until midnight.
  2. All staff should be completely vaccinated against Covid-19, including a booster. If staff is in “close contact” with customers, they must wear a mask. Staffers should take an ATK test.
  3. Operators MUST check customers are fully vaccinated, including a booster dose, before letting them in. Customers in the 608 group (over 60, pregnant, or at-risk) are “suggested” to not go to entertainment venues due to the risk of Covid-19.

The orders take effect from today (June 1st) until further notice.
