35-year-old female Russian falls to death from condo in Patong, cause under investigation

Patong, Phuket –

A 35-year-old female Russian fell to her death from a condominium in Patong early this morning (May 31st).

Patong Police and rescue workers were notified of the incident at 4:20 A.M. at a condominium on Phra Baramee Road in Patong, Kathu district.

They arrived at the condominium to find the body of the 35- year-old Russian woman (The Phuket Express is witholding her name pending embassy and family notification) lying on the ground near a tree. Her right hand was holding some hair.

The Patong Police made a statement to the local press after they questioned a number of her friends who were present in the victim’s room at the time of her fall.

According to the statement, the victim and an unspecified number of friends were drinking alcohol in a room on the eighth floor. The balcony door was found opened with some cigarettes on the terrace. On the floor near the bed were two condom wrappers.

Her body was taken to a local hospital. However her cause of death is still being identified. Patong police continue their investigation to identify if the woman fell by accident, suicide or murder.
