The ‘Kata Karon Food Festival’ is underway – PHOTO TOUR

  The ‘Kata Karon Food Festival’ is being held from May 27th to May 29th, 2022 at the Nong Han Public Park, or Karon Park, in the Karon sub-district of Mueang Phuket District.

The festival officially started last night (May 27th). The opening was launched by the Phuket Vice Governor Pichet Panaphong.

Vice Governor Pichet said to the Phuket Express, “We are boosting Phuket’s economy on the island after more foreign tourists are visiting Phuket. We also want to support the local economy as well after the Covid -19 crisis.”

“Lights and sounds, traditional and local music, cultural shows performing on stages, activities, and mini-concerts from Thai singers on the three days are also scheduled,” Pichet added.

“More than 80 food stalls, especially fresh and clean seafood, are present at the event. Admission is free.” Pichet concluded.

Meanwhilelocal business operators said, the Kata and Karon sub-districts in the Mueang Phuket district have not recovered like other areas in Phuket after many Covid -19 restrictions had been relieved.
