Strong wind damages food festival in Karon – VIDEO

Kata, Karon, Phuket –

  Strong wind at about noon today (May 28th) has damaged food booths at the Kata/Karon food festival which is being held until tomorrow (May 29th).

The ‘Kata Karon Food Festival’ is being held from May 27th to May 29th, 2022 at the Nong Han Public Park, or Karon Park, in the Karon sub-district of Mueang Phuket District.

It has been reported at about noon that strong winds have brought down food tents at the festival. However, no injuries were reported as the festival starts in the late afternoon.

However, it has been confirmed the event will continue after clean-up. Videos below.

The Kata and Karon sub-districts in the Mueang Phuket district have not recovered like other areas in Phuket after many Covid -19 restrictions had been relieved, said local business operators yesterday, May 26th, 2022.
