A 50-year-old man has been arrested this week after he broke into multiple rooms and apartments in Phuket Town before stealing many items.

The Phuket City Police has received multiple reports from three victims that the suspect broke into their rooms in apartments around Phuket Town this month and last month. A variety of expensive belongings were reportedly stolen.

Police tracked down the prime suspect from CCTV footage and identified him as Mr. Boonrit Saetaew, 50, from Phang Nga. An arrest warrant was issued for Boonrit with the accusations of theft at night.

Boonrit was arrested in Chalong earlier this week and has admitted all the charges, planning to plead guilty which reduces a potential fine and prison sentence. However, Phuket City police did not reveal specifics about the stolen items or potential value.
