Fire at mansion in Patong alarms residents, cause still under investigation

Patong –

  A small fire at a mansion in Patong alarmed residents yesterday morning (May 21st).

Firefighters from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division of the Patong Municipality were notified of the fire at 9:25 A.M. at a mansion on Ratchapatha Nusorn Road in Patong, Kathu district.

They arrived at the five-story mansion with a fire engine to find smoke coming out from the first floor.

The fire started from a storage room on the first floor of the mansion. The fire had already been put out with a fire extinguisher by the mansion caretaker, who declined to give their name.

The cause of the fire as of press time is unknown and still being investigated said Patong police.
