36-year-old man arrested in Thalang, Phuket with 5.49 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy, 40,000 methamphetamine pills, a gun and bullets

  What Phuket police call a major drug suspect has been arrested in Phuket with more than five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 70 pills of Ecstasy, and more than 40,000 methamphetamine pills, a gun, and bullets on Thursday afternoon.

The Thalang Police revealed the arrest to the local Phuket press Thursday (April 28th). This week they raided two houses in the Srisoonthorn sub-district in the Thalang district before arresting a prime suspect Mr. Worakorn ‘J’ Pisarn, 36, from Thalang, at a parking area for a shopping mall in the Chalong sub-district, Mueang Phuket district.

Seized from him were a handmade handgun, 23 bullets, 70 ecstasy pills, 5.49 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and 40,400 methamphetamine pills.

Worakorn was taken to the Thalang Police Station where he is facing charges of illegal possession of Category 1 drugs with intent to sell and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
