Fire damages house in Phuket early this morning, alarming local residents

Phuket –

A fire has severely damaged a home in the Mueang Phuket district early this morning (April 25th).

Firefighters were notified of the fire by nervous nearby residents at 1:30 A.M. at a house in a housing estate in the Wichit sub-district.

Fire fighters with two fire engines and The Phuket Express reporters arrived at the scene to find the fire was already heavily ablaze. A crowd of local residents stood outside observing the flames.

It took about half an hour to control the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still being investigated and the residents of the home were not immediately available to speak to the press.
