Phuket to hold Football Beach, Wood Ball Thailand Championship, and Football events to boost tourism

  Football Beach, the Wood Ball Thailand Championship, and Soccer Futsal will be held in Phuket this month and next month, according to the district chief.

The Kathu District Chief Mr. Siwat Rawangkun is inviting Thais and foreigners to join in the three sports championship in Kathu district which are:

  1. Wood Ball Thailand Championship: males/females aged more than 60 will be held tomorrow April 22nd to April 24th, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the football field in front of Kathu District Office and the football field in front of Patong Beach.
  2. Phuket Soccer Beach will be held on April 29th to May 1st at Patong Beach.
  3. Soccer Futsal will be held on May 7th to May 9th at a field on Patong beach in front of the Bangla Road in Patong.

The Kathu District Chief Mr. Siwat told The Phuket Express reporters, “These sports games are aimed to boost local tourism in Patong and in Phuket as well as to support Andaman tourism to be the center of both land and marine tourism in the future.”
