Covid checkpoints, temperature and vaccination checks for entering nightlife businesses removed in Patong

Phuket – 

  The Covid-19 checkpoints between each end of Bangla Rd and mandatory temperature and vaccination status checks in Patong were reportedly lifted.     

Yesterday, April 11th, Mr. Weerawit Kruesombat, President of the Phuket Entertainment Business Association or PEBA, notified nightlife business operators of the removal of Covid-19 checkpoints on Bangla Rd as well as temperature and vaccination checks prior to entering nightlife venues. The announcement was sent in a letter to the nightlife business operators, Patong Municipality, members of PEBA, and provincial government agencies.

According to Mr. Weerawit, checkpoints and mandatory checks will no longer be in operation starting tomorrow (April 11th). “I offered my gratitude to all sectors for working together,”  Mr. Weerawit said to stakeholders.
