On April 9th, Banchong Sinsiri, a Thai male boxer on the Thai national team, was awarded the trophy of the best fighter of Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2022 and the prize of 2,000 US dollars after defeating a Kazakh boxer, Aslanbek Shimbergenov, 5-0 in a 69kg body weight. The fight was hosted in Angsana Convention and Exhibition Space, Thalang district, Phuket.
Mr. Pichai Chunhavachira, President of the International Boxing Association of Thailand, said he was satisfied with the overall result and praised international fighters for their noticeable development especially fighters from ASEAN countries such as Vietnam and Philippines. The Sea Games 2022 which will commence in May is not going to be so easy, but it will go as planned, Mr. Pichai commented.
