Russian Tourist Pursues Bag Snatcher in Phuket Town, But Suspect Escapes

Phuket, Thailand –On Sunday, June 23rd, a dramatic incident unfolded in Phuket Town when a Russian tourist, identified only as Miss Alisa, chased after a bag snatcher on a motorbike. Unfortunately, she was unable to apprehend the thief.

At approximately 8:40 P.M., Miss Alisa was riding as a passenger on Takua Pa Road in Talad Yai when a motorbike rider wearing a blue helmet grabbed her bag. Undeterred, she urged the rider to pursue the snatcher through Rassada Road, Suriyadet Circle, Bangkok Road, and Poonphon Road. Despite her efforts, the bag snatcher eluded capture.

Miss Alisa’s stolen bag contained her Thailand motorbike driving license, three credit cards, and 60 Baht in cash. She recorded a video of the chase, which she later shared with the authorities.

The Phuket City Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and actively searching for the suspect.
